Solid Starts PRO Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the PRO Membership?

The Solid Starts PRO Membership includes:

Does Solid Starts PRO provide CEU credits?

We are currently applying to become an approved CEU provider for ASHA, AOTA, CDR, ADA, and ANCC and an official CME provider. Foundations of Starting Solids is currently approved by CDR to provide RDs 2 CPEU. CDR documentation is available in your account for download.

When you complete a course, a certificate is provided that shows the completion of the number of contact hours and can be submitted as CEU verification. We will let you know when we receive official board approval to provide CEUs, and, eventually, CME through each governing body's board. 

How do I take my quiz and get on the Professionals Directory?

The link to take your quiz is available in your welcome email and can be accessed after you have completed the Starting Solids Foundations Virtual Course. Upon receiving your certificate of completion, which will arrive via email after you have successfully passed the quiz, you will receive instructions on submitting your information for the Professional Directory. 

I submitted my form to be on the Professionals Directory. Why isn’t my information there?

Expect your basic information (name, contact information, simple title) to be posted within one week of submitting the form. We are currently updating our website to allow for more searchability and list more detail for every professional in our system. The update will be available soon. 

What courses are planned for this year?

The following courses are currently slated for release in 2024:
  • Teaching Kids to Eat—Using Baby-Led Weaning and Motor Learning Strategies for Advanced Feeding Outcomes (For Feeding Therapists, 7 hours)
  • The Neurobiology of Swallowing & Dysphagia (Intensive Swallowing Course, 15 hours)
  • Rethinking Picky Eating (15 hours)

Note: These courses may be subject to change, and more may be added beyond the list above.

Can I get your guides for parents with my PRO membership?

Yes! If you are a PRO member and interested in any of our digital resources for parents, please reach out to us at pro@solidstarts.com

Do you offer complimentary access to PRO materials?

We are happy to offer complimentary access to the Starting Solids Foundations Virtual Course, which is our 90-minute course for professionals and students who want to advance their knowledge of how babies really learn to eat. While we don't have a program in place to offer complimentary access to the PRO Membership, we can offer a 15% discount on the membership to make it more accessible for those in need of financial assistance. The discount would be valid for one year of membership and renewable as applicable for subsequent years by contacting us.

We also have an Economic Need Program available for parents and caregivers who want to use our guides and digital resources.

How do I cancel my PRO membership renewal?

You can cancel your membership renewal at any point by clicking the link to "Manage subscription" in your original confirmation email or contacting us at hello@solidstarts.com. All memberships renew on the anniversary date of your initial purchase. You can find the full Terms and Conditions of Use for Solid Starts PRO here. 

Are there discounts/rates for group registrations?

If you have a group of 3 or more participants, please contact us at pro@solidstarts.com to discuss group rates.
